Q. who is eligible to join the ski club? 

A. All current and retired employees of any of the family of FedEx companies worldwide.

 

Q. What does it cost to join the club?

A. Club dues are currently $50.00 a year. If you have never been to a ski week with us, your first week is dues free. Check us out and see if you would like to attend further ski weeks. Once you embark on your second ski week, dues will become due. Dues are required every year, even if you don’t attend a ski week during the season to remain in good standing. Only members in good standing may attend ski weeks and vote on club issues. To pay your dues go to the payment page.

 

Q. How do I join the FedEx ski Club?

A. Go to the membership page on the website. It has all the information on how to join the ski club.

Q. What do I need to do to go on a ski week?

A. For NAASF ski weeks you need to register for the ski week you plan to attend at naasf.com., using the online account you have already created at naasf.com. You should also let the FedEx team captain for NAASF know which ski week(s) you are planning on attending.  For the IASF ski week, you need to contact the FedEx team captain for IASF to register for the ski week.  

 

Q. What type of discounts does the club get?

A. Ski week discounts include lodging(at participating locations) and lift tickets in the 50% range, Equipment rentals, ski school and lessons, participating retail locations in the 15-30% range.

 

Q. Do I have to race if I come on a ski week? 

A. No.  You are always welcome to try your hand at racing. But if you just want to free ski the whole week Then ski the day away all over the mountain.

Q. What is NAASF?

A. The North American Airlines Ski Federation.  It is the organization that puts on the domestic ski weeks. There are three of them each season. All the major airlines of North America are members. FedEx is a member of NAASF.     naasf.com

 

Q. What is IASF? 

A. The International Airlines Ski Federation. It is the organization that puts on the WASC(World Airline Ski championships) ski week. Most major airlines of the world and many regional airlines are members of the IASF. FedEx is a member of the IASF.    airlineski.com

Q. What is the WASC?

A. The World Airline Ski Championships.  The WASC is held once a year somewhere in the world. A different location each year. The WASC has been held in Europe and North America multiple times. It has also been to Japan.  Alpine, Nordic, and Snowboard races are part of the WASC. There are individual and team championships competed for during the ski week. The WASC is put on by the IASF.

How do I get information on a ski week I am interested in?

A. There are several ways. 1. The best way is to be registered with the ski club. That way you will be on the club emailing list and kept up to date on all ski week and any other club information. 2. As it becomes available, information will be emailed out, posted on the club website, and club Facebook page . 3. You could also check the NAASF(naasf.com) or IASF websites(airlineski.com) or Facebook pages.

 

Q. Is there any club/team branded skiwear available? 

A.  Yes, we have a team jacket and pants and fleece available. They are ordered usually ordered once a season depending on demand.We periodically add a new piece if skiwear to the collection Come to one of the ski weeks to see what they are like. Then let us know if you are interested. We will announce when the order window is open.

Q. What is FXSC ?

A. FXSC is the legal name of the FedEx Ski and Snowboard Club/Team

We are a 501(c)(7) non-profit corporation. FYI: while we are a non-profit corporation. contributions, dues, etc, are NOT tax deductible.

Where are all the pictures and videos of the ski weeks?

Our pictures and videos are located on our instagram page. Click on the instagram link at the top of the page on the right, or go to the galleries page and use the QR code. Why do we have a tiger in our logo and other things.

The tiger first appeared when FedEx bought Flying Tigers. The two ski clubs merged just like the companies did. We wanted to keep the tiger in the Flying Tigers ski club alive and kicking. So we adopted the tiger as part of the team look. The tiger has reached retirement age and will be handing off some of his duties, but he will be still be around to grace us with his presence from time to time.

Q. What are club dues used for?

A. Club dues are used for various expenses and opportunities. Expenses such as dues to organizations such as NAASF. Media expenses such as website, internet, and related items. Purchasing promotional items for distribution at places such as the fun race at the WASC. Buying items for future use at lower prices, such as team gear, such as skiwear for certain events. In the future , once we have a good Cash flow, subsidizing club events. Unexpected expenses that may pop up.
